Chili is a true American staple and one of Texas's oldest continuously served dishes, with deep roots in Indigenous Texas culture. Join us in the Culinary Garden for an enriching and delicious class, where you'll explore the four major cultural eras Chili has passed through, from pre-contact Indigenous peoples to modern times. Chef Alex Goco Barrera, of Native Coahuiltec heritage, will guide us through this incredible journey, using traditional ingredients to prepare Chili while sharing stories and history. This class also includes access to Illuminate, so you can enjoy a magical evening at the garden!
