Come join the Alamo Area Beekeepers Association for an interactive demonstration and tasting of the honey extraction process. After the Springtime honey flow around San Antonio, beekeepers typically remove surplus honey frames from the hive for extraction or harvesting. This means taking the honey out of the comb using a centrifugal extractor and then straining the honey to remove wax particles before bottling. The end result is pure raw and truly local honey that's simply delicious! The gardens culinary team will also be pairing up perfect bites to go with truly fresh honey.
