To close out summer and its bountiful harvest of peppers, the Culinary team is focusing on dried chiles and their applications in the kitchen. Did you know a Chipotle is just a smoked jalapeño? What about Guajillo or Cascabel, or Ancho? We'll be talking about usages of dried chiles vs fresh and how they appear in world cuisines, especially Mexican and Tex-Mex. This lecture and demonstration class will get you acquainted with all types of dried chiles and even give a few tips and tricks on how to make the summer pepper harvest last.
This Hands-On cooking class and tour is recommended for all ages and skill levels.
