Kick off Cactus and Xerophyte Weekend, celebrating one of the largest conservation efforts of the Black Lace Cactus. Learn all about the heroic rescue of this endangered species from first discovery on a mining site to the thousands growing at the San Antonio Botanical Garden. In years to come, these efforts will result in over 10,000 cacti being replanted in the wild.
Following the presentation, stick around to take part in a live auction featuring unique and nicely potted specimens donated by members of the San Antonio Cactus and Xerophyte Society (SACXS).
