The San Antonio Botanical Garden’s TREES Initiative will kick off the first annual planting season this fall, with a goal of planting 30,000 seedlings along the Guadalupe River from November 2026 through February 2027. If you or anyone you know is interested in volunteering at any of the 30 planting efforts throughout the season, we are offering a public information session Saturday, September 19th, at 9 a.m. at the San Antonio Botanical Garden. The presentation will include the mission and history of the TREES Initiative, a status update, and a look ahead at what promises to be an incredible first year of planting. We will share the fall planting calendar and provide opportunities to sign up for one or more of the 30 upcoming planting events, as well as links to other ways to help out.
